Item description from seller

Bifolium, 235 x 185 mm. old creases, manuscript poem to first three sides. Part I is lost but would appear to be the story of a little girl, Bell, who is apparently drowned in the pond, fooling the local wildlife. Here, they are astonished to receive a letter from her, explaining that it was all a trick. The various animals, frogs, moles, mice, "a swan who vowed that he could sing, a partridge that had lost a wing," five larks, rabbits and a hare, discus "How Bell for her tricks could make amends." A neatly written, crudely illustrated children's poem.
