Not dated, approx 1914-1920s. 15pp. Very Good/None. Pictorial paper covers with small tape repair to bottom of spine, minor soiling, slight creasing. Contents clean and tight but for very minor creasing/browning. Charming B&W drawings throughout. A beautiful little catalogue detailing patterns available for fancy dress costumes for women & children. The costumes have an Edwardian look and some have a distinctly patriotic bent, including 'Old England's Flag' and 'Britannia'. One costume is for a Belgian girl and in the illustration she is shown holding a piece of paper bearing the word 'Belgian Neutrality' and 'A Scrap of Paper'. This refers to Germany's invasion of Belgium, a neutral country, in 1914, when Germany's Chancellor referred to the neutrality treaty as a 'scrap of paper'. The inclusion of this costume appears to date this booklet to WWI, between 1914 and 1918. Other costumes illustrated include Pierrot & Pierette, a Jester, Little Miss America, France, etc. A very scarce booklet. Seller Inventory # 007429
