The check has also been signed (endorsed) on the back by Beatrice Mobley (Bennett) who is the mother of Veronica (Ronnie) Spector. The check is payable to Veronica Spector for the amount of $150.00 and has been processed by the bank. Phillip Harvey Spector (December 26, 1939 - January 16, 2021) was an American musician, singer-songwriter, and record producer who contributed immensely to pop music. He wrote his first hit song when he was in high school and proceeded to pen lyrics for various famous singers in the ensuing years. By the age of 21, he had produced 20 consecutive hits and was already a millionaire. He was also known for developing a unique music production technique called the Wall of Sound that incorporated sounds from an array of orchestral instruments. After being used and appreciated for over three decades since it was started, Wall of Sound is still considered a milestone in recording history. Well-known as an auteur, he was the first musical artist who completely controlled every phase of the recording process. He won a Grammy Award in 1973 and was also inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Due to certain unfortunate circumstances, he became inactive in the 1980s and was never able to reclaim his former glory as a musician. He was convicted of the murder of actress Lana Clarkson in 2003 and received a 19-year prison sentence. Phil Spector died in a prison hospital on January 16, 2021. Veronica Yvette Bennett (formerly Spector) August 10, 1943 ? January 12, 2022) was an American singer who co-founded and fronted the girl group The Ronettes. She is sometimes referred to as the original "bad girl of rock and roll". Ronnie formed the singing group with her older sister, Estelle Bennett, and their cousin, Nedra Talley in the late 1950s. They were signed to Phil Spector's Philles label in 1963 and he produced the majority of their recording output. The Ronettes had a string of hits in the 1960s, including "Be My Baby" (1963), "Baby, I Love You" (1963), "(The Best Part of) Breakin' Up" (1964), "Do I Love You?" (1964), and "Walking in the Rain" (1964). Ronnie married Phil in 1968. Following the couple's divorce in 1974, Ronnie reformed the Ronettes and began performing again. In 1990, Ronnie Spector published a memoir, Be My Baby: How I Survived Mascara, Miniskirts, and Madness, Or, My Life as a Fabulous Ronette. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Ronettes in 2007 Beatrice Mobley (April 19, 1919 - April 04, 1998) was born in Jasper, Hamilton County, Florida, USA and was the daughter of John Mobley and Susie Parrish. She was married on 03 Jan 1938 in Pinellas County, Florida, to Louis Albert Bennett. The photographs shown in the listing are for display purposes only and not included as part of the sale.
