Single page certificate issued by the New Zealand Supreme Court to Henry Hill, enrolled as a solicitor of the Supreme Court. 20.5 x 34 cm, grey paper with Supreme Court seal, and signed by Thomas Outhwaite, registrar of the Supreme Court and Sheriff until 1869. Outhwaite, a practicing solicitor, travelled out to New Zealand with Swainson and Martin on the Tyne in 1841, during which they formulated much of the subsequent law-making in early New Zealand.
