About this Item
One page measuring 8/2 x 11 inches on the artist's stationery. An interesting letter in that Laurencin expresses disillusionment with her work and wants nothing more than to be done with painting and engraving, apparently as an excuse not to even consider a commission. The paper with fold creases, one corner with paperclip stains. Laurencin bought her apartment on 1 rue Savorgnan de Brazza, Paris in 1928. In 1944, the Germans confiscated it and it was not returned to her until 1955 after a long and difficult process. Seller Inventory # M20-Of-CL-R91
