This large celluloid photo album measures 7 x 16.5". The covers are celluloid and the spine is velvet. The front cover is decorated with a wintery image of a mill, an inset with the profile of a woman with long hair, and embossed floral motifs. An elaborate brass clasp is mounted on the edges to keep the album closed. There are slots for forty-eight photos and forty-four cabinet photos already inserted. Some appeared to have been pasted on. The vast majority of the photos are from the Midwest (Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois). Small dampstain to top edge, light wear and a few hairline cracks to edges. The velvet is in excellent shape.
