This 1949 Independence Day pre-stamped first day cover is boldly signed by Moshe Sharett in both English and Hebrew. There is a circular 1949 Tel Aviv cancellation. Envelope measures: 4" x 6 7/8". Moshe Sharett (1894-1965), the second Prime Minister of Israel, served from 1954 to 1955. Condition: Slight feathering to a couple letters of the signatures, otherwise very good condition.
