8vo, pp. xxxvi, 463, [13]; engraved vignette title page printed in red and black; contemporary full reversed calf, rebacked, spine in 6 compartments, red leather label in 1, endpapers renewed; some mild dampstaining at the top edge and gutter of the early leaves, splashes in the top spine compartment; all else very good, sound, and clean. Includes an 11-page catalogue of editions of Horace from 1476 to 1738 in the library of James Douglas. Mills College Check List 621; not in Riedel-Horatiana. ESTC locates only 4 copies in North America: Free Library of Philadelphia, Princeton, Delaware, and Texas.
