About the Author

Né à Péronne le 26 février 1882, Pierre Mac Orlan, après des années de grands voyages et de petits métiers, fréquente la bohème montmartroise du début du siècle. Blessé à la guerre de 1914, il se retire en 1927 à Saint-Cyr-sur-Morin où il multiplie romans, essais, reportages, et chansons. Il meurt le 27 juin 1970.
