Engraved by Franz Biller. Mid 19th century engraved map with attractive original hand color. The apocryphal Mts. of the Moon is boldly present within central Africa. Mexico still possesses Texas and the American Southwest, indicating dated cartography for the time. Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any age flaws mostly minor and easy to overlook or forgive. Original center fold as issued. Sheet Measures c. 11 1/4" H x 17 1/4" W. Engraved Area Measures c. 9 1/2" H x 15 15/8" W.
