Item description from seller

A rare pictorial map of Charleston and the surrounding area featuring an illustrated border of historically important citizens and landmarks throughout the region's history, from colonial times through the Civil War, each labeled along the inside of the border. Designed by James Polzios for Indigo House, this map depicts in its large center the Charleston peninsula and four large vignettes at the corners, which include Ashley Hall and the Great Charleston Fire of 1861. A reference key outlines all of the highlights of the map just below the peninsula. The sheet measures 25.5 " X 38" while the image measures 24" X 32". Light foxing to the upper margin. Perfect for framing and display.
