Published in Bath in 1852, this is a very rare example of Cotterell?s map of the City of Bath, Mounted on linen and measuring 39 inches by 29 inches approx. A well detailed street plan of the city, with an index of 60 numbered sites of interest, listed along left hand side. The map has some heavy crease lines with some bubbling along creases, some darkening and marking to edges, wear along lower edge, else in acceptable condition. THE MAP IS SHOWING SOME OBVIOUS SIGNS OF AGE AND WEAR, ELSE REMAINS AN ACCEPTABLE EXAMPLE OF THIS HARD TO FIND MAP IN FIRST EDITION FORM The map has been stored rolled, and will be posted rolled in a tube.
