Item description from seller

Folding map, which has blue marbled paper-covered card covers when folded, with yellow engraved title label to front and back bearing Stanford's details as agent for the OS, and seller. On lower margin the map states: Engraved at the Ordnance Map Office and published by Col. Colby on Ist Jan 1837 (the date is printed very small but appears to be this). On the left hand bottom margin Electrotyped in 1878.The map is engraved in monochrome on paper backed with linen and folds out into 20 sections, opened out 67 x 55cm, scale of 1 mile to an inch. Folded it is 17 x 11cm. It shows coastal west Wales from Harlech in the north to Barmouth and Talylin, with the mountains inland. Very Good condition. Map is clean and well preserved with light browning to folds, and a few spots and marks to the linen backing. The card covers have light wear to edges and a little darkeing to the labels.
