Good only, lightly creased and worn at the edges with Arabic ms note and correction to the scale, and archival paper repairs to verso, but still presentable. A very early 1:250,000 map produced by the authorities of newly independent Qatar. In addition to general information, this may have been prepared to inform and support Government policy. During the 1970s the authorities relocated villagers to larger settlements nearby, where they established co-educational primary and secondary schools. Details include villages, water wells, major and minor roads, oil pipelines, major ports, small ports, airports, oilfields, sand dunes, and shallow water. An inset shows Qatar's position in the Gulf.
