Gaullier exeudit", ink on paper, incompleteii. -23 manuscript celestial globe gores (of 24) Plus -2 Printed engraved sheets of horizon rings (Complete) -Old paper (unclear date of production of manuscript) -Paper of size 295 x 210mm (some smaller but no losses to gores) -Very good condition but some toning to pages These manuscript globe gores are based on the pair of globes produced by Matthaeus Greuter, a celebrated German engraver who worked in Rome for Scipione Borghese, Pope Paul V and the Accademia dei Lincei. Greuter's most famous celestial globe was produced in 1636 which formed a 49cm globe. The globe gores refer to the discoveries of Tycho Brahe. Seller Inventory # ABE-1696082921006
