Original lithographed plan of Paris (52 x 68 cm) folding into publisher's pictorial green card covers (18 x 10.5 cm), partially hand-coloured and with the original tape-indicator and 23pp. pamphlet still present. An excellent copy. A nice example of a tape-indicator map which enables the user to quickly find any place on a map using (in the publisher's own English translation) the following system: "Streets are found instantly by means of a metric riband, which pivot radiating towards the numbers which are surrounding the map. The nomenclature requires two numbers; the first is that of the border's map, the second that of the moveable riband, which is to be directed when banded upon the border, and down the indicated number coincide the point looked for".
