Great Western Railway - maps of the Company's system and connections c1948. Vintage railway system map; British Railways (c.1948). 47.0 x 62.5cm, 18.5 x 24.5 inches; this is a folding map. Condition: Good. The image shown may have been taken from a different example of this map than that which is offered for sale. The map you will receive is in good condition but there may be minor variations in the condition from that shown in the image. There are related maps printed on the reverse side of the picture. The map is entitled "Great Western Railway", however a note at the bottom "All references to the former Great Western Railway on these maps should now be read as "British Railways, Western Region", which suggests that the map was updated in some haste shortly after the nationalisation of the railways in 1948.
