Item description from seller

This is a blue wall map created by the Good Roads interest of Kansas City. It is superb in its detail of principal trails in the state. It is superb in its identification of the poor roads in Kansas. It is superb in showing the principal t named rails and locations in each of the listed states. The "Good Roads" movements were responsible, in the most part, for the coalescing of all interests in promoting automobile internal improvements. This map catches a glimpse of the extent to which good intelligence was collected by the Good roads Association of Greater Kansas City. There was no greater interest than on the part of the businesses to get improvements through a multi-state area. For this who appreciate the early efforts of individual associations, this map signifies all that went into getting the federal government involved in financing and regulating principal roads in the United States. Very good folded into 6 x 5 1/2 inch configuration.
