Starting in 1773 Le Rouge published these plans and sketches of gardens, particularly of the then new English gardens and Anglo-Chinese gardens. 492 Engravings were published in 21 parts (cahiers), the last published in 1789.Made by an anonymous engraver after Georges-Louis Le Rouge. Publisher: Georges-Louis le Rouge (1707-1790) was a French military engineer, hydrographer and cartographer. He mostly produced a wide rang of attractive cartographic work. He held a position of Geographical Engineer to King Louis XV.Condition: Good, given age. A few minor crinkles. Small tear top edge; repaired. In 2018 he decided to further develop his personal collection through 'Pictura Prints'. Peter has a background in design and landscape architecture and holds a degree in paper restauration. He holds shop in Overasselt, a small town on the Maas river near Nijmegen, The Netherlands, which can be visited by appointment. He is a member of the Dutch Association of Antiquarians (NVVA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB).

In addition POST NL temporarly charges 3,60 euro per kg due to CORONA related logistics. We ship by registered mail through POST NL.
