large copper engraved map with linen backing, border to border measuring 705 x 540 mm, hand coloured boundaries to Hundreds and map border itself, dedication To the Right Hon'ble George Mantagu in decorated coat of arms, main title in illustrated cartouche, as usual with Bowen maps spare space filled with numerous historical and topographical notes including Seats of Nobility, Earls of Northampton, Kettering, Daventry or Daintry, Rothwell or Rowell, etc; two very small pin holes in upper corners and browning on three very small spots, slight age toning to paper as to be expected, near fine for its age.
