This map by Merian is an almost identical copy of Blaeu's map of the same region, but is more uncommon than Blaeu's map. It can easily be identified as it has only two monkeys in the right lower corner of the cartouche as opposed to Blaeu's three monkey figures. Tooley/Collector's Guide to Maps of the African Continent and Southern Africa, p. 76.
