The image includes countless representations of wildlife including bears, Santa’s reindeer, moose, rabbits, etc., all are depicted inland. A wide variety of species of fish inhabit the seas, along with seals, walruses, otters, whales, crabs, etc. | The territory of the 1894 Gold Rush is depicted just south of the Yukon River, and another area to the east copper mining is indicated. Eskimos are well-represented with igloos, a sledge and dog team, and one brave fellow waving to a Russian compatriot across the Bering Strait. Totem poles abound and one is featured as part of the title cartouche. | Note: Image of map description is not on the verso of this map. | Size: 12.5 x 9.25 inches.…
