A striking example of early-1960s men's glamour publishing, featuring a provocative full-color cover of a blonde model in red lingerie, stockings, and high heels. The dramatic black background and oversized yellow lettering give this premiere issue a distinctive vintage men's magazine aesthetic. Inside, Satan's Scrapbook combines classic pin-up photography, glamour pictorials, short fiction, and provocative articles, along with a full-color center spread. Featured glamour pictorials include: - Julie Parker – Julie's Double Joint - Edith Richter – The Garden of Edith - Rosa Angelou – A Tropical Heatwave - Gracie Beck – Gracie's Going Machine - Karen Tucker – Check-Up for a Slick Chick - Hattie Palmer – Hattie's Swimmin' Hole - Carmen Perry – The T N Tease - Loretta Constantis – Loretta on the Rocks - Cassie Mitchell – Cassie Comes Clean - Annabelle Perkins – The Cool Shape of a Pool Shark - Barbara Parkinson – The Bare Belle and the Barbell Additional contents include the articles How Bare the Barmaid? by Jonathan Hilton and The Deadly Sex at Large by Joseph LeBaron. Fiction selections include Wanton Vengeance by Harry Neal, Win, Place and Showdown by Lee Turner, and Cat Fight at Black Rock by D. B. Lewis. The combination of numerous named models, colorful cover photography, and the premiere issue designation makes this an appealing addition to a collection of vintage men's magazines, pin-up photography, or mid-century adult publishing.
