About this Item
Loose 4to sheets, [4pp.]-[10pp. printed on rectos only], issue 21 loose sheets folded into [16pp.], 8vo. A very rare complete set of 'The Literary Supplement' (1972-1975), which was edited and printed in Norway, and distributed 'gratis to persons'. Fortuitously, when the first issue appeared, that week's 'Times Literary Supplement' was cancelled. Contributors include J. H. Prynne, Douglas Oliver, Barry MacSweeney, Denise Riley, Mark Hyatt, David Chaloner, Michael Haslam, Nick Totton, Martin Thom, Peter Philpott, John Wieners, Paul Buck, Peter Riley, David Ball, Richard Grossinger, Tom Ahern, Terry Stokes, Alan Davies, Paul Auster, Rosmarie Waldrop, Keith Waldrop, Anne-Marie Albiach, Maurice Blanchot, Andre du Bouchet, Edmond Jabes, Joseph Guglielmi, Roger Laporte, Claude Fain, Helmut Heissenbuttel, Louis-Rene des Forets, Jorge Luis Borges and Adolfo Bioy Casares, Jakob Paulsen, and Barnett. A few issues were once stapled at the top corner, but have been neatly disbound (by the editor), and one of them has barely perceptible historical horizontal folds; the stapling (or not) of this magazine seems to vary between copies anyway. That aside, just a small amount of minor spotting to some edges, one sheet with a little unobtrusive edgewear, otherwise Fine. Seller Inventory # 005805
