THE CAPTION STATES "A TUBE OF CLEARASIL - A BIG TUBE." "TO JERRY RUBIN OF THE YIPPIES WHO SAID , MY GOAL IS AT THE AGE OF THIRTY-FIVE IS TO ACT LIKE I'M FIFTEEN." THE MOST DUBIOUS ACHIEVEMENT OF 1968: BELONGS TO SPIRO T. AGNEW WITH A SOLEMN COLOR PHOTO OF HIM. OTHER NOTABLES AND THEIR PHOTOS INCLUDE JOHN LENNON AND YOKO ONO, DAVID EISENHOWER AND JULIE NIXON, TOM HAYDEN, FRANK SINATRA AND MIA FARROW, SAMMY DAVIS JR. AND MAY BRITT AMONG MANY OTHERS. THERE IS A QUOTE FROM MAYOR RICHARD J. DALEY AFTER THE ASSASSINATION OF MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. MAYOR DALEY SAID " I HAVE CONFERRED WITH THE SUPERINTENDENT OF POLICE AND GIVEN HIM THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE NIGHT OF THE RIOT THAT WERE NOT CARRIED OUT. I SAID TO HIM VERY EMPHATICALLY AND VERY DEFINITELY THAT AN ORDER MUST BE ISSUED BY HIM TO SHOOT TO KILL ANY ARSONIST OR ANYONE WITH A MOLOTOV COCKTAIL IN HIS HAND, BECAUSE THEY'RE POTENTIAL MURDERERS, AND TO SHOOT TO MAIM OR CRIPPLE ANYONE LOOTING." THERE IS ANOTHER MAYOR DALEY MALAPROPISM ON THE FRONT COVER THAT IS HERALDED AS THE QUOTE OF THE YEAR. "THE POLICEMAN ISN'T THERE TO CREATE DISORDER. THE POLICEMAN IS THERE TO PRESERVE DISORDER."
