About the Author
Quique Dacosta, chef español con tres estrellas Michelin, es reconocido como uno de los mejores cocineros del mundo. Desarrolla su carrera profesional desde 1986. Enseguida comenzó a trabajar en el que hoy es su restaurante. Con él al frente, se empieza a construir y contextualizar una cocina de vanguardia desde su territorio, Dénia, siempre con el Mar Mediterráneo, los vegetales y el parque natural del Montgó como referencias, y apoyado en las artes como vía de inspiración. Reconocido como Mejor Empresario de la Restauración Española, cuenta con un total de once restaurantes en España y UK, que acumulan siete estrellas Michelin. Premiado dos veces como mejor restaurante de Europa, siendo en estos momentos uno de los 20 mejores del mundo. Benjamín Lana (Zalla, Bizkaia, 1968), es Licenciado en Ciencias de la Información y master en Periodismo y lleva más de 30 años dedicado al ejercicio del periodismo y al desarrollo de proyectos editoriales y gastronómicos. Desde 2011 hasta 2018 desempeñó el puesto de director editorial de Vocento, tras haber sido director de Innovación y desarrollo Editorial y anteriormente director adjunto de el diario asturiano El Comercio. En septiembre de 2018 se convirtió en director general de Vocento Gastronomía, la división que engloba los proyectos gastronómicos del grupo, entre ellos Madrid Fusión, del que también es vicepresidente, San Sebastián Gastronomika, El Encuentro de los Mares, Terrae y Worldcanic, entre otros. Lana también es impulsor y consejero del Madrid Culinary Campus, la universidad gastronómica creada por Vocento y Comillas-Icade. Apasionado de la cocina, Benjamín Lana ejerce desde hace décadas como periodista gastronómico. En la actualidad escribe en XL Semanal, en la revista gastronómica 7 Caníbales, de la que es editor, y en los suplementos gastronómicos y secciones digitales de los diarios de Vocento. Entre otros libros es autor “Casa Marcial, la cocina de Nacho Manzano”, finalista del Premio Nacional de Gastronomía en 2016. Su última obra, Animal Cocinero, fue publicado en 2021.

Housing Works Used Book Cafe is an independent open bookstore in New York City that presents great used, new and antiquarian books, good coffee, the opportunity to hear from many of the best writers and performers in America and the chance to make a difference in the fight against AIDS and Homelessness, in New York City and the world. We are a non-profit bookstore relying on volunteers to help run the store. Housing Works provides housing, health care, job training and advocacy for people living with HIV and AIDS. Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Housing Works Online Bookstore, New York, New York, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
Shipping terms
All books shipped USPS with delivery confirmation in the USA. Typically we ship media mail for $3.99, Priority for $7.99, packed in poly bags or bubble mailers. More valuable books and heavy items are wrapped and boxed. For international orders, we ship through Landmark Global.
