A pencil notation on the title page says Deluxe, 200 made but this is not a limited/numbered copy. BINDING: Hardbound in red leather or buckram, I'm not sure which, with dark lettering on the spine and front cover and a Kentucky rifle on the front cover also. 8" x 11, 154 pages plus index. DUST JACKET: No jacket, as issued. Book is in a paper covered slipcase with gold label on one side. case shows some very minor rubbing at corners and is overall very good, clean and solid. BOOK CONDITION: The book is in near fine condition with sharp corners, clear lettering, tight binding and very clean covers and interior. DESCRIPTION: Fully illustrated throughout the book. A study of the origin and development of a purely American type of firearm, together with accurate historical data concerning early Colonial gunsmiths, and profusely illustrated with photographic reproduction of their finest work.
