Language: English. Approximately 70 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : 1688. Text in English. This rare and historically significant work provides an in-depth examination of the Inquisition as it was practiced in Goa during the colonial period. Written by a witness to the events, it offers firsthand accounts of the religious and judicial proceedings, shedding light on the operations of the Inquisition in Portuguese India. The text is of particular interest to scholars of early modern history, religious studies, and colonialism, as it provides valuable primary source material on the intersection of religion, law, and imperial power. This edition faithfully reproduces the original 1688 text, preserving its historical and linguistic integrity. Book images are non-contractual.
