Language: English. Approximately 237 pages. English: Print-on-demand reprint. Original edition : c1893. Text in English. This comprehensive study provides a meticulously organized harmonization of the four Gospels, designed to facilitate historical and theological research. The work systematically compares the narratives of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, presenting them in parallel to reveal their interrelationships and chronological sequences. Published in 1881, this analytical synopsis was prepared by William Arnold Stevens and Ernest De Witt Burton, two prominent biblical scholars of the late 19th century. The text is particularly valuable for its careful attention to textual variants and its structured approach to Gospel studies, making it an essential reference for students and researchers of New Testament scholarship. The work remains a foundational resource for understanding the historical development of the Gospel traditions and their theological implications. Book images are non-contractual.
