This monumental work by George Robert Gray and David William Mitchell provides an exhaustive classification of bird genera, accompanied by detailed descriptions of their distinguishing characteristics and behavioral traits. Published in installments between 1844 and 1849, it represents a landmark contribution to 19th-century ornithology.
