Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First UK Edition. 278 pages. Having been housed in a library's protective plastic film the jacket is very good: with foxing and sunning to rear panel; foxing to flaps and to blank verso. Not price clipped. Book is good only. The upper and lower edges of the boards are rubbed and toned. Front pastedown and free endpaper offer an extensive, if unwanted, history of ownership. Pastedown has a relatively recent pictorial personal bookplate over the remnants of an institutional, with abrasion where another plate has been removed. Facing that are two library stamps and an inscribed number, including the gift stamp from Ranfurly Library Service, Kensington Palace Barracks, top right corner clipped. Brief inscription or marking also to half title, title page, colophon, page 70 [circular library stamp over text), final leaf and rear pastedown. Half-inch closed tear from top of page 103/104; marginal stain to pages 185-7. Light soiling to first few and final few leaves. For all that, the binding is sound. Please inquire for overseas postal options. Seller Inventory # Books011151
