NY: Vantage Press, 1967. 1st ed., 8vo. 111 pages. Maroon cloth with silver lettering to spine in original dj. A near fine review copy in fair dust-jacket. The book has a ½” hairline crack at the bottom of the frontgutter and some very minor shelf-wear on bottom edge. The dustjacket is not price-clipped but has two open tears on front [1” & ½”], wear to edges, and a large damp-stain on the back not affecting the book. A hilarious autobiography by this "unique" actor. Illustrated with 32 b/w photographs. Laid in is a publisher’s review slip and press release “This is not a great book, but it is never dull.”.

We are a merger of two former booksellers 'Books on Main' [Ventura CA] and Armadillo & Dicker [Sacramento CA.] Most of our stock is rare or out-of-print - dating from the 18th century to the present. We do not sell reprint editions or book club editions unless they differ from the original in some way that makes them independently collectible. Terms of sale
We guarantee the condition of every book as it's described on the AbeBooks web sites. If you're dissatisfied with your purchase (Incorrect Book/Not as Described/Damaged) or if the order wasn't delivered, you're eligible for a refund within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. As collectors ourselves, we know that sometimes a book arrives that just isn't quite what we expected, even though it was accurately described. We will refund those too, but in that case, we would like you to contact us within 14 days so we can get it back and relist it promptly. If you've simply changed your mind about a book that you've ordered, but have not yet received it, please use the "Ask bookseller a question" link to contact us and we'll respond within 2 business days. This does not affect your statutory consumer rights including the right to withdraw from the contract and your statutory warranty rights.

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Burns' Bizarre, IOBA, Sacramento, California, U.S.A., +1 916-803-2495, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
Shipping terms
Shipping costs are based on an average weight, including packaging, of 2 LB, or 0.9 KG. We usually don't charge extra if you are above that, but If your book is very heavy or special handling is required we may add an extra shipping charge. This usually occurs only for books being shipped via priority mail or internationally; the extra cost for shipping can make the difference in whether we make a profit or take a loss on the sale. We will always contact you first to get your approval for the extra charge. Sometimes shipping doesn't cost as much as we estimate -- if it's a negligible amount we just let it be but if it is substantial, we usually refund the excess shipping. We do not insure our shipments*; if you would like your package insured let us know and we will quote you the extra cost for doing so. (*Domestic items being sent by priority mail are automatically insured by the post office for up to $50.)
