Endpapers browned, bookseller's ticket of Frank Murray of Derby to FEP, else internally clean and crisp A nineteenth-century reissue of the first edition (1740) of the memoirs of Christian Davies (1667-1739), an Irishwoman who enlisted in the British Army in 1693 disguised as a man, and subsequently saw action with the infantry in Flanders during the Nine Years War and later with the Scots Greys during the War of the Spanish Succession.
