La ley de Herodes es el �nico libro de relatos escrito por Jorge Ibarg�engoitia, aunque, m�s que relatos, son episodios autobiogr�ficos en los que �l mismo, protagonista de todas las historias, se muestra entra�able y ruin al mismo tiempo. Con su mirada afilada y su pluma ir�nica, Ibarg�engoitia destroza las falsas apariencias de la alta sociedad mexicana, los c�rculos intelectuales y las ideolog�as pol�ticas y religiosas, dejando al descubierto su hipocres�a y contradicciones. About the Authors

Jorge Ibarg�engoitia (Guanajuato, 1928) fue un destacado escritor y periodista mexicano, reconocido por su estilo sat�rico y agudo sentido del humor. Naci� en el seno de una familia de clase media y estudi� durante su infancia y adolescencia en escuelas administradas por la orden religiosa de los Hermanos Maristas. Form� parte de los Boy Scouts, con quienes en 1947 asisti� a la Jamboree, que consisti� en visitar Francia, Italia, Suiza e Inglaterra durante tres meses, experiencia que le meti� el gusanillo de viajar. Estudi� ingenier�a en la UNAM, aunque abandon� esta carrera para dedicarse a la escritura. M�s tarde, ingres� en la Facultad de Filosof�a y Letras y estudi� dramaturgia bajo la direcci�n de Rodolfo Usigli, lo que marc� el inicio de su trayectoria en el �mbito literario. Sus obras se caracterizan por su tono ir�nico y mordaz, con el que retrat� de manera cr�tica y humor�stica aspectos de la sociedad, la pol�tica y la vida cotidiana. Entre sus novelas m�s destacadas se encuentran Los rel�mpagos de agosto (1964), que gan� el Premio Casa de las Am�ricas, con el escritor y cr�tico �talo Calvino como uno de los m�ximos entusiastas de Ibarg�engoitia entre el jurado, y Estas ruinas que ves (1975), ganadora del Premio Internacional de Novela M�xico. Ibarg�engoitia falleci� tr�gicamente en un accidente a�reo en Espa�a en 1983, cuando su carrera estaba en pleno apogeo. A pesar de su prematura muerte, dej� un legado literario que sigue vigente por su capacidad de combinar humor, cr�tica social y un estilo narrativo accesible y entretenido.

Desde su primer disco hom�nimo lanzado en 2008, Los Punsetes han cultivado un estilo �nico y reconocible, con letras cargadas de iron�a, humor �cido y cr�tica social que reflejan una visi�n desencantada y sarc�stica de la vida, consolid�ndose como una de las propuestas m�s originales de la escena musical espa�ola. Temazos como Tus amigos, Maricas u Opini�n de mierda han dejado huella por su mezcla de provocaci�n y honestidad. Con influencias que van desde el punk hasta el pop m�s experimental, el grupo ha sabido evolucionar sin perder su esencia, atrayendo tanto a la cr�tica especializada como a un p�blico fiel. Sus actuaciones en vivo destacan por la presencia enigm�tica de la cantante, Ariadna, quien permanece inm�vil e impasible mientras los dem�s miembros despliegan toda su energ�a sobre el escenario.

Mart�n L�pez Lam (Lima, 1981), vive y trabaja en Valencia desde el 2003 en proyectos relacionados con el dibujo, el c�mic, la serigraf�a y la autoedici�n. Su obra ha sido expuesta de manera individual en las galer�as y museos de Valencia, Madrid, Badajoz, Bologna, Lima y Marsella; y de manera colectiva en diferentes espacios en Portugal, Espa�a, Italia, Serbia, Francia, Colombia y Per�. Ha realizado residencias art�sticas en el Museo del Barrio de Manizales en Colombia (2014), en la Real Academia de Espa�a en Roma (2015-2016) y en la Maison des Auteurs de Angouleme en Francia (2016-2017). Ha publicado Parte de todo esto (Edicions De Ponent, 2013), Sirio (Fulgencio Pimentel, 2016), El t�tulo no corresponde (Ediciones Valientes, 2016), Ensalada mixta (Le Dernier Cri, 2017), Las edades de la rata (Salamandra, 2019), BLINK (Kus Komikss, 2021) y el libro infantil Bosteza conmigo (A buen paso, 2024). Desde el 2011 forma parte del colectivo Vendo Oro, responsable del festival de autoedici�n Tenderete. Cuando no est� viajando, participando en festivales gr�ficos y trabajando en proyectos de autoedici�n junto a Ediciones Valientes, se queda en casa viendo crecer las plantas. Mart�n ha sido el creador de varias portadas de Los Punsetes, por ello nos pareci� perfecto que lo fuera tambi�n de este libro.

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Information regarding the right of withdrawal

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Kennys Bookshop and Art Galleries Ltd., Galway, GY, Ireland, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
