Contains "Transflections" by Jeff Gburek concerning the Harry Everett Smith film Heaven and Earth Magic, being a series of mythopoetic, ekphrastic prose limning the spiritual contents of the film. As the editors explain, the authors attempt to "release the confining power of cause-and-effect relations out of their self centering locus … into a thermodynamic unrelated by quid pro quo expectation that one thing may equal any other, such that all transaction is 'of a proper proportion' defined in the static dissimulation of presupposing an undiscvoered truth", and so on. :that: magazine ran for a couple dozen issues in the 1990's, "under the rubric of 'descriptions of practice'".
