8vo. xvi, 223, [1] pp. Illustrated title, numerous text illusts., photo plates. Black cloth, red lettering, w/ d.j. wraparound cover art of gunfighter w/ pistol & revolver coming through swinging doors (slight shelfwear), NF/NF copy. First edition, 1st issue, w/o corrections of this rousing gun-toting, criminal chasing history from 1882-1911, as he hunted down thieves, murderers, cattle rustlers, and others. Harkey (1866-1958) was most credited with cleaning up the criminal dives in early Carlsbad, and dictated this book to two high school girls.
