Some early annotations in the contents section.nStillingfleet's main attack on mystical theology is in the section "Of the Fanaticism of the Roman Church" in which he sought to use one of the greatest positive attributes of the Church as argued by Catholics against them by showing mysticks to be nothing but enthusiasts. If these mysticks had gained authority in the Roman Church, Stillingfleet argued, then surely that showed the dangers and falsities of relying on tradition over Scripture.
