Endpapers are bright and clean; as are pages. Pages lay tight and undisturbed; seemingly unread. Binding and hinges are strong. Aside from a previous owner's initials written on FFEP; book is about fine. Original DJ not as crisp as book; but still nice. $3.50 price intact on DJ flap. Only light rubbing and soiling. Shallow chipping at foot and fold corners; 1 inch chip at crown. A scarce first American printing; in near fine collectible condition; in VG dj. Seller Inventory # 001844
