The 1999 edition deals with CDs in the discographical listings whereas the older edition listed LPs. The book has been revised to include new material and is further enhanced by the typesetting of the examples and the inclusion of a greatly expanded bibliography.The original work was the first-ever attempt at a truly comprehensive view of Charlie Parker, and I hope the revision and expansion will be a further step in understanding the musician and the man.
