Top edge gilt. 286 pp with a total of 10 pages of ads at rear, a single leaf numbered 1-2 advertising Wells' works and an 8 page numbered catalog ad for other Macmillan titles. Notably the title page indicates the publisher as Macmillan & Co, . Limited - not abbreviated as Ltd. Cloth crimped and lightly rubbed at spine ends; corner tips lightly tapped and rubbed. Prior ownership penned to front endpage along with a small name/address label. Light toning/foxing to endpages; binding just very slighly cocked in the spine.
