1938 First edition, first impression. Size octavo, 222 pages including index. Green cloth covered boards with gilt titles to the spine, page edges unevenly trimmed, with dust jacket. Book condition very good, corners and spine ends slightly rubbed, tiny bit of foxing to margins of title page, offsetting on front end-paper, page edges toned else contents very clean. Dust jacket condition very good, corners rubbed, spine ends very slightly chipped, evidence that base of spine of jacket got wet at some point, 2mm tear without loss to top edge of front panel, sunned, not price clipped. Many who know Tindale as the translator of the Bible may like to read something of the rest of his work, which helped not a little to establish the Reformation in England. To which is added an essay on Tindale and the English language by G.D.Bone.
