This is a Very Good Copy of this Book with brown leather spine lettered in gilt over Mauchline Ware Wooden boards with four photographic transfer prints and engraved lettering of two of Wordsworth's poems.The photographs present are of 'Ara Force Gowbarrow Park,Rydal Mount Residence of Wordsworth,Grasmere Church and Blea Tarn The Scene of Wordsworth's Solitary.All page edges of the book are in gilt with inner gilt dentelles to the pastedowns.There is one former owner's inscription to the blank front endpaper and one written piece outlining who the book was gifted to and this makes interesting reading as it states '' Presented to Miss Parks Curator of the Grammar School Hawkshead July 1959 by Susan Ludbrook who bought it at Varly's Antique book shop Amblesaide when the effects of Mrs Nelson's Neice were being disposed of.Mrs Nelson was the gingerbread Lady of Grasmere'' Binding of the book is firm with no loose leaves,clean internally with just a few foxing spots to the page margins.The book was printed in double columns and the rather charming engravings within are by Henry Dell,8vo (xiv) 568pp Undated but Suggest Circa 1875 or slightly earlier as former owner's inscription is dated 1875.
