Bookseller tag on ffep ("Poinciana Book Shop / Palm Beach"). The $35 price printed on dust jacket intact. A handsome copy of an increasingly scarce title. First edition of Slim Aarons seminal collection of photos that came to define socialites of the 1950s - 1960s jet-set. A garish, intimate look at the idle rich and the playgrounds they inhabit. Aarons' achievement rests in his ability to make decadence look at once very attractive and, as Christoperh Lehmann-Haupt declared in his 1974 NYT review, repelling.
