First Edition (first printing). 8vo. 304pp. Green cloth lettered in gold at the spine. The free endpapers and pastedowns very lightly soiled, and printed on lesser-quality wartime paperstock which is now a little tanned. A very good copy in the fugitive dust wrapper, toned at the spine panel and with two further slivers of toning to the margins of the rear panel, and lightly rubbed, spotted and nicked. An uncommon pseudonymous memoir by Anna Cherkasova, a Russian-born engineer and the Soviet Union's long-distance motorcycle champion (in later life she became quite notorious for championing various questionable health fads).
