I will leave handling this issue to the new owner. First edition hardcover of the third volume in Tamora Pierce’s foundational Song of the Lioness quartet. In this fantasy adventure, Alanna of Trebond—now a knight errant—travels into the desert and becomes involved with the Bazhir people, confronting questions of leadership, gender roles, magic, and personal responsibility. The 1986 Atheneum issue is a 253-page hardcover and is catalogued as a first edition. A strong collectible for readers of classic young-adult fantasy, women-centered fantasy, 1980s juvenile fiction, fantasy series, and Tamora Pierce. The Song of the Lioness books have remained central works in modern YA fantasy, particularly for readers drawn to female protagonists, coming-of-age adventure, and imaginative secondary-world fiction. Condition: Very Good in a Very Good dust jacket. The book has slight spine lean and slight discoloration of the upper text block. The dust jacket shows minor chipping along top and bottom edges. Important note: previous owner has taped the inside flaps to the outer covers. I will leave handling this issue to the new owner. …

Store description
I unearth paper treasures for your reading pleasure. I started selling books when my father left me his vintage paperback collection, almost 25 years ago. I grade condition conservatively and do my best to convey all flaws, and to respond quickly to questions. When issues arise, I do my best to come up with solutions that keep both parties happy. When I'm not panning for gold in thrift stores and estate sales, I'm listening to records, hanging out with my family, or playing tabletop games.
