Front and rear pastedowns show vertical strips of residual tape marks with some minor light offsetting to the opposite endpapers where it would seem that the loose plastic cover to the dustwrapper was attached. The complete dustwrapper bears traces of tape to the inner flaps otherwise is clean and bright. The text block and edges are clean and the binding is firm. Loosely enclosed in an envelope is a typed letter, folded twice, dated 18 February [1967] signed by Neill with a fountain pen from his address Springs Road, Keswick in which he describes his approach to researching and writing novels. He informs the recipient that 'Witch Bane' will be published 'about the middle of this year'. Seller Inventory # 005138
