Item description from seller

In these 176 pages the authors look at the chess opening play called the Queen's Indian (and its defence). Some of the big proponents of the system included : Anthony Miles, Tigan Petrosian , Raul Capablanca, and Garry Kasparov - not to mention the senior author himself. You will also encounter tournament games between Gaprindashvil & Ioseliani, Portisch & Sosonko, and Vaganian & Karpov. Chess boards and game notations make up 90 % of the book with the rest reserved for commentary. Cond ; Paper wrapper is light grey with green lettering and decoration. Cover graphic shows 3 pawns, two rooks and a knight. Very little edge wear. Volume is tight, bright and clean. One game has a minor bit of marginalia. No names, no tears. Excellent reference !! Quote (p. 58) : " So Karpov suffered his second and last defeat of that match, but after three more draws he had won the match and began his eleven year reign as a World Champion. " Size: 12mo.
