The author addresses ons of the most vexing questions of animal behavior. In this book you are shown that animals have complex mental operations exquisitely adapted to thier niches and mating patterns and these we must know inorder to avoid anthropomorphism. Animals are neither robots nor little people but cognitive beings of their own kind. The paper dust jacket shows some shelf wear on the leading edges but the book itself is clean tight and possibly unread.
