Add to basketVERY RARE illustrated hardcover book. "Why Are there more Questions than Answers, Grandad?" Written and illustrated by Kenneth Mahood. This is the First Edition, published by Macmillan London Ltd., 1974. 4to, 26 cm x 20.2 cm x 0.9 cm. Glossy paper-covered printed boards & spine, Unpaginated, no dust-jacket. Weight: 296 Grams. CONTENTS ARE MOSTLY IN GOOD CONDITION!!! However, there is much outer wear & damage: Both front & back covers are loose from main body, with much rubbing, bumping & scuffing to surfaces, edges & extremities. All 4 corners on both covers are bumped & frayed with boards exposed & worn away, same damage to all edges of covers. Some marks & scribbles on front cover. Spine is incomplete, frayed & scuffed, torn away from front cover & barely attached to back cover. Pages are still all bound together, but there are some cracks are showing. Sticky tape residue on inside of front & rear covers, as well as 1st & last page. Most pages have light handling creases, and/or folds in corners, and/or small light marks & foxing spots. Small tear on title page. Yellowing/age tanning of pages. Glue residue on inside of back cover. VERY RARE SOUGHT-AFTER CHILDREN'S BOOK FROM THE '70s!!! A lovely story, richly illustrated in vibrant colours, about Sandy Starke, a curious orphan boy living with his Grandfather. The boy's incessant questions anger the Grandad, as he does not always have the answers. So he locks Sandy up in the attic filled with junk, ordering him to clean it all up. And this is where Sandy makes a formidable discovery! A great reading copy of a children's favourite story from the Seventies! IN STOCK in the UK!!! If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
