First edition, early printing (1943, lacking "A" on copyright page, else same). 471pp. A little age-toning to to black-and-red stamped oatmeal boards, end papers, and deckle edges. Else nicely preserved. Unclipped dust jacket with photo credit on back is badly torn through cover and repaired with masking tape on rear, otherwise frayed and chipped. Price sticker on back cover.
